I'm not a fan of this site's decision to not allow artists to turn off future downloads of their photo. It would show goodwill and would be easy to program. All past creative commons usage would be honored, and photos would remain online and in database, but no longer be able to be downloaded. It's fair to the original photographer who would like to stop further downloads of an image they took and nice to respect the artist's wishes.
