I bought my first camera in 1969. The majority of photos I took were portraits, shooting almost entirely in black and white. In 1972 I moved to a small town north of Vancouver and for some reason I lost interest in photography, rarely taking a photo. In the late 80's I started painting (watercolour) and would photograph my subject first to paint from. I found I was using my camera more and more and eventually went digital.
