Pixabay limits weekly uploads, so that all submissions can be properly reviewed by our team. This limit is determined by the quality and alignment to our content guidelines.
Updated: May 16, 2025
To encourage truly useful and awe-inspiring content, Pixabay places an upload limit on your submissions. On a rolling basis, you may only submit a certain number of images, videos, and audio files. This limit applies to all types of content collectively. When you've reached your upload limit, you'll have to wait for it to reset before you can upload again.

Our team evaluates each submission independently. There are three possible outcomes:
Starting late May 2025, we're simplifying things. Here are the new highlights:
This new system gives you more freedom to grow your portfolio on Pixabay without compromising our high-quality standards.
Your upload limit will be reflected on your Upload Page. Just remember the golden rule of uploads: the better your submissions, the higher your upload limit. So make sure to prioritize quality over quantity!
Need more flexibility? If you feel your upload limit doesn't match the quality or quantity of your content, reach out to our Support Team at info@pixabay.com. If your work stands out, we may bump up your limit to better suit your needs.
Unsure as to why you have received a lower quality rating? While we want to encourage everyone to first use the dedicated threads (photography, videos, illustrations & GIFs, audio) on the forum to get feedback from other community members, you also have the opportunity to request a reassessment from our quality review team. This is limited to 7 requests per week and only one request per upload.
To request a reassessment, navigate to your "My media" page, hover over the media item you would like to request a reassessment for, and click the pencil icon. Navigate to the "Settings" tab and select "Resubmit". Check back in 1-3 days for the result.
