The Lighthouse of Alexandria was built by the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Ancient Egypt during Ptolemy II Philadelphus' reign (280-247 BC). It is thought to have been at least 100 metres tall. The 3D design is based on a study of the building by Emad Victor Shenouda (2006).
